MobiCommerce v1.3.1 released a few days back is truly one of the biggest transition. The upgraded version of MobiCommerce justifies the “do-it-yourself” concept.

This feature replaces the “Let us build app for you” concept, which was too time consuming and later lost interest of the potential customers as they had to depend on us to create the app for them and sending the URL to download the application in their respective device for their review. This entire cycle was too tedious and time consuming. The latest upgrade replaces it with “Magento Plugin Feature” which provides all facility into magneto admin panel so that it becomes handy for potential customers to create, personalize, test and buy the mobile app through their admin panel itself and not to depend on MobiCommerce team to respond back.
Also a buy now link has been added to the admin panel which allows the customers to buy the application right from the admin panel of their magento account.
Through the “create new mobile app” in the admin panel potential customers can create the app right from their magento login. Simply by filling up a small form android demo app link and mobile URL link will be emailed to customer instantly which they can download and review instantly.
Though process for creating IOS apps still remains manual, where client will have to submit their UDID, mobicommerce team will create the app and push the download URL link into client server. Client can will download the app and install it on their iOS device, and can review it.
Other additions such as adding “overview” tab under application settings which will display add details such as License Type, App name, App Key, Demo Mobile app URL to download, Mobile website URL and Buy now action buttons. Addition of push Notification, where mobicommerce team can send out push notification to the clients these messages will display in the admin panel under “Notification” section.
“Buy NOW” action point has been added to the Magento Admin Panel. so now potential customers can buy the apps right from the admin panel.
The newly enhanced features will prove to be a great contribution to the emerging mcommerce industry.
